Fasting Part 2
Intermittent fasting
One of the most popular types of fasting is intermittent fasting. Most fasts focus on abstinence of some, most, or all foods. However, intermittent fasting is a type of fasting that focuses on time. Time of when you eat and when you don’t. The best part about this fast is that you can eat whatever you want! This works as long as it’s within your time window. This sort of fasting is effective and relatively easy for people to get into. As with most fasts, it is hardest at first. But, what makes it different from other fasts is that it resets your circadian rhythm. It effectively sets your body in a groove to process foods at certain times giving your metabolism more strength.
Story time
As of November, I began intermittent fasting. I kept it pretty simple. Begin eating at 11:00 AM and end eating at 7:00 PM. No problems there, right? Well, I assumed there wouldn’t be. But breaking my natural rhythm was much harder than I thought. I was used to eating whenever I wanted to! If I ever felt hungry, I would just go to the kitchen and get something to eat.
The first day, I woke up and got out of bed. I immediately felt hungry. Without thinking, I walked to the fridge and opened it. that’s when I realized, I couldn’t eat for another 3 hours. The hunger pangs then hit harder. Those next hours felt SO long. I felt like I couldn’t take it! But, right when it hit 11:00 am, I made eggs and bacon. That was the best breakfast I have ever had. Waiting to eat the food made me appreciate it more.
Towards the evening, I was helping to cook dinner for the family. At first, I was working at a leisurely pace with no rush. Then I looked at the clock. It was 6:40 pm. there were only 20 minutes left to eat! I panicked and finished cooking as fast as I could. Right as I shoved the food down my throat, the time hit 7:00 pm.
Every day after that, it became easier. In fact, I began really liking it! I started loving the excitement of getting my first meal. It made the food more valuable since it was more rare. My mother did it with me. She and I had fun with it. We planned out our meals and made jokes with each other about eating during fast time. I haven’t weighed myself yet, but I am sure that I have lost weight because my clothes have not been fitting. In addition to that, I have been feeling much better as a whole. I feel better, stronger, faster.
The entire experience has been pretty awesome. I’m considering making this a lifestyle. This is definitely something that I could do for a long time. I would highly recommend intermittent fasting to anyone

Hi Michael,
Yes, we can experience great results. although intermittent fasting is a powerful way to go to lose weight, we still need other options to help lose weight naturally and fast.
